OBITUARIES 12A I SUN-RU1IFTIN Saturday, January 23, 2010 Clarence Arthur Beach, Jr. of Conklin, NY Clarence Arthur Beach, 83, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010, at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford, NY. He is survived by sons, Donald Beach, Michael Beach and David Beach; daughter, Catherine Beach Snyder; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; his sister, Doris; two nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by his first wife, Catherine Jeker Beach; and second wife, Alberta White Beach. He was a retired employee of IBM, a lifetime member of the Masons and a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Endwell.

He was also a Navy Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 24, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at the Wm. R. Chase Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson with a minister of the Endwell Church of Christ, Eric Cimuchowski, officiating.

Burial will be held at the convenience of Mashell (Miller) Whitney of Sanitaria Springs Mashell (Miller) Whitney, 38, of Sanitaria Springs, died at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at Willow Point Nursing Home after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her parents, Marie and Leon Miller; two children, Elizabeth Whitney and Dennis Ashmeade a sister and Deaths Clarence Arthur Beach, age 83, of Conklin Archie Burruss, age 95, of Johnson City David M. Sunday Holidays Anne (Michael) Sullivan of Endicott Anne (Nonnie) Sullivan, 86, of Endicott, Went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 21, 2010, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel F. Sullivan Sr.

in January of 2009; her grandson, Jimmy Sullivan in November of 2006; her brothers, Louie, Jimmy and Johnny Michael; her sisters, Mary Giovannini and Frances Guzzey. She is survived by four children, Dan and Bonnie Sullivan, Cheryl and Joe Jacobs, Patrick and Joseph Sullivan, Maureen and John Slo-cum; eight grandchildren, Erin (Fred) Raub, Denise (John) Stevens, Lisa Pettit, Kelly Sullivan, Jennifer Sullivan, Sean Sullivan, Colleen Slocum, Johnny Slocum; nine greatgrandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Patsy and Gail Michael; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott and a member of the Independent Mutual Aide Association. She was a retired employee of IBM Endicott and a member of its Quarter Century Club.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of the Vestal Nursing Center for their wonderful and loving care. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Endicott with the Rev. James P.

She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas McAndrew; her first husband, Michael Tedeschi; sisters, Delia Hranek, Helen Felter and Angie Pompeii; brothers, James and Joseph DiFulvio. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Bridget Tedeschi, VA, Michael and Susan Tedeschi, Bing-hamton; her daughter, Isabel Goodwin, Bingham-ton; two stepdaughters, Ruth Bragg and Donna Yusavage; several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; sister-in-law, Lillian Smith; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sunny was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Johnson City.

She retired from Singer-Link, Corp. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. The family would like to thank Cindy Hubbard and the staff of CCU at Wilson Memorial Hospital for the compassionate care given to Sunny and her family. A Funeral Service will be held at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, 137 Robinson Bing-hamton on Monday at 9:15 a.m.

and 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Shea Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions in Sunny's memory to a charity of one's choice.

Martin of Chenango Bridge Janet E. Martin, 101, of Chenango Bridge, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Janurary 19, 2010. She would have been 102 on January 29th. Janet was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Martha Smith; her husband, David H. Martin; her son, Charles Martin; her brother, Roland Smith; her sister, Marguerite Browning; and her daughter-in-law, Patricia Marhefka Martin.

She is survived by her son, David S. Martin (Louise) of Port Crane. Surviving grandchildren include Janet Tyler (George), Francis Martin (Lori), Carole Walentynowicz (Robert), Jorene Lomenzo (Richard), and Karen Ringel (Mark). She is also survived by greatgrandchildren, Gregg Tyler (Celeste), Michael Tyler, Christopher and Gina Martin, David and Megan Walentynowicz and Olivia Ringel; and nieces, Patricia Paige, Oleta Zaczyk, Toni Smiley, and Kendra Dayger. Nephew, Douglas Dayger also survives.

She recently became acquainted with her first great-great-granddaughter, Natalie Louise Tyler, born on October 12, 2009. Janet's life was a simple one, being spent as a homemaker, mother to her sons and grandmother to her grand and great-grandchildren. She greatly enjoyed cooking, sewing and camping. She was a lifelong member of Binghamton's West Presbyterian Church, where she and her husband sang in the choir throughout their lives. Services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010, at 3:00 p.m.

She was a founding member of St. John the Evangelist Church, a past officer of the Rosary Confraternity Society, and an active volunteer in the early days of the school. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold McGuire (1975); and her son, Edward McGuire (1991).

Later in life she married Guy Hillis, a former classmate, and they lived on a golf course in North Carolina until his death in 1997. Ila is survived by two daughters, Nancy (McGuire) and Robert Ferriss of Harrisburg, PA and Marilyn (McGuire) and Walter Weaver of Binghamton, NY; one sister, Pearl Chrowstowski of Amarillo, TX; granddaughters, Jennifer and Joseph Nugent and Alyson and Jeff Tran of Enola and Hershey, PA; two grandsons, Michael and Erin Weaver of Endicott, NY and James Weaver and Laure Henningsen of Binghamton, NY; three great-grandchildren, Nicolas and McKenna Nugent and Edward Tran; and many nieces and nephews. For many years, Ila managed a branch store for Ideal Cleaners on the Vestal Parkway. Following that, she worked part-time in the gift shop at General Hospital until her retirement at age 71. Ila was a warm and caring wife and mother who took great delight in her grandchildren a good joke.

She was an avid pinochle player, gardener, and knitter. Her sweaters and afghans kept her family warm. In later years, her most contented times were spent at Echo Lake at the cottage she and Harold built 53 years ago. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010, at 9:30 a.m. at Sts.
