Hunsinger of Owego A Celebration of Life for William L. Hunsinger will be held on Saturday, February 27, 1999 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Owego with the Rev. Ariyce Kretschman officiating. Private graveside services will be held in the Tioga Cemetery.

Charles E. Ostrander of Vestal Charles Ostrander, 79, of Vestal, N.Y. went to be with our Lord Wednesday morning February 24, 1999 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Emily T. Ostrander, Vestal; his former wife, Lillian Ostrander, Owego; one daughter, Kathryn Ann Ostrander, Owego; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles David and Beth Ostrander, Owego, Gary Eugene and Marcia Ostrander, Whitney Point, N.Y.; two step-children, Rita and Chris Doolittle, Vestal, James Harvey, New Hampshire; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Kathryn and Albert Veronesi, New Berlin; one nephew, Richard Veronesi, Phoenix, N.Y.

He was a member of the Owego United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Unadilla for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Owego VFW.

He was a member of the Binghamton Moose Lodge. A member of the Boy Scout Troop 201, Endicott. He was a retired employee of IBM Corporation, Endicott with 31 years of service. At Charles' request there will be no calling hours. Private graveside servic Sarah Strait of Owego Sarah (Sally) Strait, 89, passed away suddenly on February 24, 1999.

Leonard, 87, of Binghamton, N.Y., went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 24, 1999 at River Mede Manor, Binghamton. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell Leonard on April 21, 1991 and her grandson, Lennie Fike.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard E. and Jean Leonard, Apalachin; a daughter, Erma Overfield, Binghamton; two brothers, Floyd Roe, Hallstead, Pa. and Wilson Roe, Hallstead, three sisters, Bertha Roys, Texas, Alice Roe, Hallstead, Pa. and Dorothy Luce, Hallstead, four grandchildren, Kathleen Fike, Robin Tinna, Randy Fike and Ralph Leonard; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Martha was a member of the Stanfordville Baptist Church.

Funeral and committal services will be held at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, Pa. Saturday, February 27, .1999 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Lloyd P. Penberthy officiating. Interment will be at the Brookdale Cemetery, Liberty Pa.

He was born at home in Newark Valley, July 10. 1923, the son of Harvey and Mary (Blewer) Petzold. He was predeceased by his wife, Agnes Myott and his son, Robert Petzold, Jr. Bob is survived by his wife of 16 years, Pauline (Polly) in Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Ira Moyer, Owego; a son and daughter-in-law, Garyand Stella Petzold, a step daughter, Rozanne Burdick, Binghamton; three step sons, James Burdick, England, David Burdick, West Rick Burdick, two sisters, Evelyn and Francis Carozza, Fla. and Katherine (Kay) Victor, a brother, Frederick Petzold, Newark Valley; five grandchildren, Gary, William and Joseph Petzold, Jason Beeman and Alex Moyer; four step grandchildren, Jason Burdick, Ashley and Bradley Burdick and James Burdick, eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was a lifelong dairy farmer in Newark Valley and was owner of Petzold Real Estate. He was a member of several community organi- zations including Owego Rotary, Elks 5 BPOE 1039, Loyal Order of Moose 1595 and American Legion Post 401. He was also President of the Tioga County Farm Bureau from 1959-1961 and NYS Farm Bureau Director from 1962-1964. Bob had a love for outdoors and his true passion of gardening. He created breathtaking gardens of beautiful plants and trees in both New York and Florida.

Bob was a beloved husband, father and friend and will be sadly missed by all. Funeral services will be held at Richards Funeral Home, Rte. 1 7c West, Owego, on Sunday, February 28, 1999 at 1 p.m. with Rev. David A.

Rockwell, pastor of the Owego United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Weltonville Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at Richards on Saturday, February 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. Those wishing may direct donations in Bob's name to the Owego United Methodist Church, 261 Main Owego, N.Y. 13827.

Born in Montrose, Pa. on July 10, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Thomas' and Ida (Babcock) O'Brien. She was predeceased by her. husband, George A. Olmstead.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Montrose and was previously employed as a bookkeeper by Bendix South Montrose. She is survived by two sons. Jack Olmstead, Scottsdale, Ariz, and Richard uimsteaa, Wilmington, three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Marion Patrick and Lillian Sheen, both of Montrose. Nist, 72, of Vestal, passed away after an extended illness Wednes day morning, February 24, 1999 at Our Lady ot Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton. She was predeceased by her husband, John C. Nist. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tamara Nist and Raymond Burden, Vestal; two grandsons, J. Michael McMahon, Bing hamton, Timothy Lee Burden, Vestal; three step grandchildren, Renee, Ray and Ryan Burden; a brother, Donald Baker.

White, 92, of Cold Spring Marathon, N.Y., passed away at her home on February 15, 1VV9. Mrs. White was born in North Pitcher, N.Y. on June 8, 1906, the daughter of the late Mortimer Pope and Nina Murray Parker. A graduate of South Otselic High School, Mrs.

White also attended the Cortland Normal Teachers College. Mrs. White and her husband, the Tate, J. Marlin White moved to Marathon in 1930 where they raised their family, it was there they owned and operated White's Market, while raising purebred Milking Shorthorn cattle, active in the family business, Mrs. White was a devoted mother who was also active in the community.

She was a member of Marathon Chapter 101 Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Matron and Secretary. Past President of the Presby terian Women, Mrs. White also taught Sunday school for many years. She acted for many years as a news correspondent for the Syracuse Herald, the Cortland Standard and the Mara thon Independent Serving as Marathon Town Historian, Mrs. White enjoyed genealogy.

Other interests included, reading and writing. She was often called upon to entertain groups with her materials. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing and bird watching. Mrs. White is survived by two sons and five daughters, Marilyn (Mrs.

Harry) Lid- dington, Marathon, Marlin R. "Rudy" (Joan) White, Greene, Martha (Mrs Sam) Au Hoon, Harvey, Harold (Lolita) White, Marathon, Connie (Chuck Adams) White, Marathon, Margery (Geoff Horvath) Kanahele, Ha waii. Marcelene Susanne "Suzv" (Bob) Lille, Marathon; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren; three nephews. Mrs. White was predeceased by her husband ot 53 years, J.

Marlin White in 1981, a daughter, Jean White in 1935 and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Hotting. Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. White will be held Saturday, February 27, 1999 at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Marathon.

Baker Son Funeral Home ot Marathon, N.Y. Richard J. Powell of Johnson City Richard J. Powell, 78, of Johnson City died Tuesday, February 23, 1999 at Our Lady ot Lourdes Hospital. He was Eredeceased by his parents, Clyde and ucy Powell.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen; by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Paul Guido, Binghamton, Martha and Brad Bennett, Endwell; by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry and Nancy Powell, Reading, Edward Powell. Mr. Powell served with the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II and was employed with IBM Endicott for 38 years.

Misulich, 89, of Endicott passed away Wednesday morning, February 24, 1999 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife, Regina, in 1993. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph M. Gail M. Misulich, Apalachin; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen A.

Nancy Carnese of Binghamton Nancy T. (Rinaldi) Carnese went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 24, 1999 at Binghamton General Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mary Rinaldi, her brother, Angelo Rinaldi and her brothers-in-law. Anthonv Ra- gard and Michael Carnese and two sisters-in-law, Nellie Liparulo and El eanor Carnese. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Carnese, Binghamton; her daughter and son-in- law, Angela and Jim Nestrick, Binghamton; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Tony Rinaldi, Pompano Beach, Frank and Julia Rinaldi, Vestal, Pam Rinaldi, Binghamton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jo and Carlo Palombaro, Endwell, N.Y., Anna Ra-gard, Binghamton; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe and Dons Carnese Montrose, Rose and Mary Carnese Wilkes-Barre, also many nieces nephews and cousins.

She was a retired employee of Amphenol a Democratic Committee woman and worked with the Broome County Board of Elections. Mrs. Stiles was a member ot the Lutheran Church. She retired from Endicott Johnson Shoe Company in Owego after 40 years of service, Laura was a wonaenui ana loving mother, grandmother, aunt and dear friend to all and will be greatly missed. He was instrumental in the enhancement, formulation and implementation of the Tioga County Fire Investigation Team and the equipment utilized and served as the Coordinator, He also was the SecretaryTreasurer of the Town of Owego Fire District for ten years. Bud also worked as a private tire investigator for Peter Vallas Asso ciates for many years.

He was a veteran of WWII where he served as a Military Police Officer. He enlisted in the Army after graduating in 1945 from Owego Free Academy. He was a member of the International Association ot Arson Investigators, American Society of Agricultural Engineers and was an Eagle Scout, Troop 38. Bud was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed nature. He was always there for his family to lend a helping hand or to give advice when it was needed.

He is now "The Man of Open Spaces" exactly where he wanted to be. Up the river across the wide lake; Thru Heavens marshes, grassy ways; Glides the man of open spaces; Determined to enjoy his days. Funeral services will be held at Richards Funeral Home, Rte. 17c West, Owego, on Friday, February 26, 1999 at 2 p.m. with Rev.

Ariyce Kretschman, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Owego, officiating. Burial will follow in Tioga Cemetery, Owego. Friends are invited to call at Richards on Thursday, February 25, 1999 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bud's name may be made to Lourdes Hospice, West Division, 596 Fifth Owego, N.Y. 13827 or the Owego Fire Dept.

Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 22, Owego, N.Y. 13827. Anna Spak, 106 years, fell asleep in the Lord Tuesday morning, February 23, 1999 at the Willow Point Nursing Home. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Spak and a grandson, Gary Spak.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, George and Aurora Spak, Binghamton, John Spak, Endwell and Mary Spak, Vestal; three grandchildren, Daryl and his wife, Denise Spak, Margo-Ann Spak and Sergius and his wife, Deborah Spak; five great grandchildren, Daryl Jordan, Jason, Laura and Donna Spak and Mrs. Terry (Kyra) Gordon; a great-great granddaughter, Brianna Spak; a brother, John Uonchig; and nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Michael's Greek Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held Thurs day 9 a.m.

at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 32b Prospect Street, Binghamton and 9:30 a.m. at St Michael's Greek Catholic Church, 290 Clinton Street, Binghamton where the Very Rev. James Dutko will Celebrate a Divine Liturgy. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Rev.

Dutko will conduct a prayer service Wednesday 6 p.m. at the Scheider Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday 5 to 8 p.m. Kindly consider contributions in Anna memory to St. Michael Atrium Fund.
