Leonard, age 70, of Shelby, formerly of Binghamton, N.Y., died August 31, 2006. He is survived by caring sister, Dorothy (- Vincent) Raniewicz, Elmira; sister, Grace (Ben) Mitchell, Alaska; brother, Kenneth (- Helen) Leonard, Binghamton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was a US Army Veteran. Helene A. Guiton of Irish Hill, Pa. Helene A. Guiton, 80, of Irish Hill, died Saturday, September 2, 2006, at Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose, Pa. Born May 6, 1926 in Binghamton, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Francis J.

and Loretta (Grace) Healy. She was a member of St. Patrick's sCatholic Church, Irish Hill, St. Francis Xavier Altar Rosary Society, and the north branch of R.E.S.C.U.E. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother and was also a great cook.

She had a great love for life. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, John J. Guiton, Irish Hill, daughters and sonsin-law, Mary Kathryn and Randy Long, Irish Hill, Jane and Dean Mack, Kingsley, sons and daughter-in-law, David Guiton, Irish Hill, John and Kim Guiton, Irish Hill, 12 grandsons, one granddaughter, one greatgrandson; sister and brotherin-law, Mary and Robert Brady, Endwell, N.Y.; sisters Sandra Guiton, Mooresville, N.C., Margaret Guiton, Binghamton, N.Y., many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Francis J. Guiton; brother, Francis Healy; and other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at the Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, A Selected Independent Funeral Home, 74 Church Street, Montrose, Pa. 18801, and will continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Irish Hill, Pa.

William P. Monaghan of Binghamton Thelma D. Lucey of Vestal William P. Monaghan, 63, passed away Sunday, September 03, 2006. He is survived by his brothers, Wayne Monaghan, Whitesboro, N.Y., Robert James, Austin, and Kenneth James, Austin, Tex.

William was a veteran of the United States Army and retired to the Binghamton area nine years ago. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 5th, at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Expressions of sympathy for the family may be forwarded to Joseph Francis Guth of Chenango Bridge Joseph Francis Guth, 85, of Chenango Bridge, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 1, at Binghamton General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on November 16, 1920 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Leo and Vera (Clossey) Guth; daughter, Catherine Dedek; son, Joseph Paul Guth; and granddaughter, Catherine Cain. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bernice Mae Guth; two daughters and sons-inlaw, Marilyn and John Cain, Carole and Donald Staab, three sons and daughters-inlaw, Thomas and Robin Guth, Stephen and Christine Guth, John and Pamela Guth; and son-in-law, Milan Dedek; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandson; two brothers, Robert (and Gertrude) Guth, Fr. Edward Guth; three sisters, Marie Ryff, Vera Naughton and Marjorie (and Kevin) McCormack. He was a Navy Lieutenant during World War II and flew transport planes across the Pacific Ocean.

He graduated from Regis High School, NYC, and St. Peter's College, Jersey City, N.J. He was a CPA with Arthur Anderson, NYC, and was Chief Financial Officer for Crowley Foods, Binghamton, N.Y., for 32 years. He was a former president of NAA and a member of its Stuart Cameron MacLeod Society and a member of AICPA. Joe was an active member of St.

Catherine's Church in Hillcrest. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine's Church. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery.

Mary R. Brusil of Binghamton Richard J. Rosa of Endwell Richard James Rosa, 72, of Endwell, went to be with the Lord peacefully Friday afternoon, September 1, 2006 at Wilson Memorial Hospital surrounded by his dedicated family after a courageous battle with lymphoma. He was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Mary Rosa. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Angeline (Ann) Rosa, Endwell; four daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia (Cindy) and Richard Bennett, Endicott, Michelle and Michael Ferraro, Orlando, Deborah (Debbie) and John Cable, Endwell, Denise and Chris Ripic, Endicott; nine grandchildren, Ericka and Brad Bennett, Adrienne and Dominic Ferraro, Ashley and Chelsea Cable, Kaitlyn, Ryan and Morgan Ripic.

Richard was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School, Schenectady, N.Y. and Hudson Valley Technical Institute, Troy, N.Y. with a degree in engineering. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War.

Richard worked for General Electric in Schenectady prior to accepting a position with IBM Owego, where he retired after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Endicott Lions Club and the IBM Quarter-Century Club. He enjoyed camping while the children were young, and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, photography and was an avid listener of jazz music. The things that Richard treasured the most were his family, Sunday dinners, his beach house at Rehobeth Beach and traveling to Florida to visit his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Grandpa was best known for the "best" ice cream sundaes, chocolate milk and malt milkshakes.

The family would like to express their deepest thanks and appreciation to Dr. Khan, Debbie, Nan and the entire staff of Broome Oncology, as well as Wilson Memorial Hospital ICU for their tender loving care that was given to him. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. from the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, 1905 Watson Endicott and at 10 a.m.

Erle, of Endicott, passed away Friday afternoon, September 1, 2006, at Wilson Memorial Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Alta Erle.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Erle; four children, Pamela Fritz and her husband, Steve, William Erle and his wife, Erin, Michael and Marissa Erle; three grandchildren, Emily, Robert and Ryan; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, George and Suzanne Erle, Steve and Tina Erle, Robert Erle; four sisters and one brother-inlaw, Patty Firestine, Jackie Weaver, Linda and Marty Bowen, Connie Rossi; also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Bill was the owner and operator of the Bull's Head Restaurant in Binghamton for the past 26 years. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, 4:00 p.m. at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, 1905 Watson Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m.

Leonard Forster of Binghamton Leonard Forster, 77, of Binghamton, died Sunday morning, September 3, 2006, at his home with his loving family around him. He was predeceased by his sisters, Ruth, Eva, and Gladys. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Fitzpatrick Forster; his children, Debra and Charles Scouten, Downers Grove, Daniel and Lee Forster, Syracuse N.Y., John Forster, Canton, N.Y.; his grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, and David Scouten, Trevor, Brittany and Mackey Forster; sisters, Edith Ladd and Pauline Prouty; sistersin-law, Patricia Fitzpatrick and Margaret Eaton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton; Marine Corps Veteran of World War II; member of V.F.W. Post 478 and a member of the Knights of Columbus Peter T. Campon Council Leonard graduated from Broome Community College and attended Binghamton University engineering classes. He was a member of the Broome County Young Republical Club and ran for 4th Ward Councilman.

He was on the Board of the Handicapped Children's Association where he received awards for his dedication and service. He retired from the IBM corporation and was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. He was an avid bowler and golfer and worked part time at the Heritage Golf Course. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday, at 8:30 a.m.

and at 9 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Leonard may be made to the Handicapped Children's Association of the Southern Tier, 18 Broad Street, Johnson City, N.Y. 13790 Lillian Loy of Endwell April 13, 1923 Lillian Loy, 83, departed Wednesday afternoon after a short battle with cancer. Retiring from IBM in April 1985, Lillian lived a full life. Born in Thompson, living in Willow Springs, N.C., spending much of her life in Greater Binghamton, N.Y., and spending the last year of her life with new and loved friends in the Turnpike Terrace Community in Susquehanna, Pa. Lillian left behind a legacy that will not be soon forgotten.

Her husband, David R. Loy; and her daughter, Beverly A. Barnett, predeceased Lillian. She is survived by a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, along with her numerous grandchildren including, Earl and Maureen Barnett, Dale and Alain Barnett, Anona and John Huff, Kevin Barnett, Annette and Robert Bridges. Lillian was also blessed to be the great-grandmother of 12, amongst which are, Earl and Florrie Barnett, who were fortunate enough to spend the last few years in close contact and relationship with Lillian; several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, including, Charlotte Stone, Marlene Carver and Mary Heesh, who very regretfully carry on in Lillian absence.

Funeral and interment services will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the Coleman Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main Endicott. Pastor Douglas Hill of the Union Center Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. We will miss you. August 30, 2006 William P. "Bill" Walker of Binghamton William P. "Bill" Walker passed away on Saturday evening, September 2, 2006, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

He was born on February 14, 1919, in Horseheads, New York, and was the son of Florence Cary and William Joseph Walker. He resided at 708 Huger Drive, Georgetown, S.C. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mabel Mary Isaac Walker; his son, William P. "Billy" Walker, Lexington, S.C., his wife, Amelia and their children, Will and Bette Walker; son, Thomas Cary Walker, Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and his wife, Vicki and grandsons, Thomas and Matthew Walker; son, James Cary Walker, Mt.

Pleasant, S.C., and his wife, Dina and their children, Mary Catherine, Cary, and Lawrence. Mr. Walker was predeceased by his son, Robert Francis Walker; and sisters, Virginia Snupik, June Reidy, Florence Compton, and Rita Walker. Mr. Walker is also survived by a brother, John Joseph "Jack" Walker of Delray Beach, Florida, his wife, and numerous nieces and nephews.

During World War II, Mr. Walker was a member of the United States Marine Corps and served as a radio gunner in a torpedo bomber, a TBF-Avenger. He flew missions in the South Pacific from various airfields, including Henderson Field at Guadalcanal. He also saw extensive action at other sites in the South Pacific, including New Zealand and Rabal. He was also a member of a Special Marine Corps detachment at various small atolls in the South Pacific, serving with natives and Australians as a behind the lines coast watcher for enemy troop and plane movement.

He retired as a Technical Sergeant. After the war, he served at the Georgetown Air Base where he met his future bride, Mabel Isaac. He was an avid golfer, a former member of the Winyah Bay Country Club and competed in numerous tournaments. He also enjoyed a lively game of billiards and the company of his veterans at V.F.W. Post 6444 in Georgetown.

He was also a former owner and operator of Palmetto Tire and Electric Company, and was a retired salesman for Oxford Chemical Company. He was an avid reader, great writer, and fabulous husband, father, and grandfather. Services will be held at St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church, 317 Broad Street, Georgetown, S.C., at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5.

Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery with full Military Honors. Active pallbearers will be nephews, Joe Isaac, Danny Isaac, Glenn Turbeville, and Chip Walker; and grandchildren, Will Walker and Thomas Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the V.F.W. Post 6444 in Georgetown. Memorials may be made to the William P.
