He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Edward Bernat of Mount Pleasant, SC; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John and Marie Kostelnik of Hilmar, CA, Leonard Kostelnik of Binghamton; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Helen LaCat- ta of Seymour, CT; also several nieces Springs, voted no. Joseph A. Sergi of Endwell Joseph A. Sergi, 84, of 2900 Yale Endwell, died peacefully at his home Friday afternoon after a brief illness. He was predeceased by an infant son, Domenic Sergi. He is survived by his wife, Mrs.

Julia Sergi, Endwell; one brother, Sam Sergi, Endicott; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott, a retired Endicott Johnson Corp. employee, retiring after 51 years of service. Funeral services will be held Monday 9 a.m.

3. A bill (S.4479) give all counties the option to fingerprint welfare home-relief recipients to discourage fraud. The state now only permits fingerprinting in Rockland and Onondaga counties on an experimental basis. Passed 45-12. Sent to the Assembly.

Wolcott of Binghamton William J. Wolcott of Binghamton died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 14, 1993 at his residence. He leaves behind his wife, Delores of Binghamton; his children Bill Wolcott of Buffalo, Sharon and Brian Faugh-nan of Chenango Bridge. Added to the circle of love are his grandchildren, William John, Robert Thomas, and Sara Marie Faughnan; his sister Barbara Smith of Binghamton; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Ruth Wolcott of Kirkwood, John and Cathy Wolcott, Louis and Jean Wolcott, all of Binghamton; a cousin, Kathryn Matthews, and a good friend, Amy Zhu; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of St.

John the Evangelist Church, Binghamton, and was a retired 30 year employee of the IBM Corporation, and was a member of its Quarter Century Club. He was an army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a lifetime member of the 45th Infantry Division. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Binghamton on Monday at 9am and at at St. John the Evangelist Church where a funeral mass will be offered.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 7-9pm. Paul's Episcopal Church, Owego, where he had been confirmed in 1934. In 1988 he was ordained an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Owego where he was an active member. He was a reporter for the Binghamton Evening Press for 44 years, from 1933 to 1978, and was one of the first television news broadcasters for WNBF Channel 12 when TV first came to the Southern Tier, and later for WINR, Channel 40. He was awarded the Liberty Bell Award by the Broome County Bar Association in 1965. He served in recent years as Vice-Chairman of the Tioga County Republican Committee and subsequently was honored as Chairman Emeritus.

He was the first Chairman of the Tioga County Solid Waste Commission and also served as Chairman of the Tioga County Planning Board. Friends are invited to call at the Es-tey Munroe Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 16th. The funeral will be held at the First Presbyterian Union of Owego (North Avenue at Temple Street) at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 17th, with burial immediately following.

The family will also greet friends at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Monday morning until the service begins. She is survived by two daughters, Mary A. Cox, Harford, Cora L. Heggelke, Norwich; a son and daughter-in-law, Morgan and Beatrice Lillie, Endwell. She has a large family of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was a member of the Johnson City Moose Lodge for over 50 years.

A former resident of Binghamton for many years, she was the widow of William Katz, who died in 1986. She was a member of Temple Israel, Temple Israel Sisterhood, Hadassah, and other civic organizations. She is survived by her two daughters, Lenore Sotsky, Glen Cove, NY, and Sharon Levy, Dalton, and six grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Hilda Stone, and two brothers, Matthew Savitch, Binghamton, and Herbert Savitch, Services will be held Tuesday, May 18 at 3 p.m. at the Ernest H.

Arthur J. McQueen of EndwelL NY Arthur J. McQueen, 73, of 1506 Davis Endwell, passed away at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA, Saturday, May 15, 1993 at 2:30 a.m. after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Alice J.

McQueen, Endwell; three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Kathy McQueen, Rochester, NY, Michael and Jane McQueen, Washington, DC, Arthur J. McQueen, Chicago, four grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a member of Christ the King Church, End-well, a retired IBM employee and member of its Quarter Century Club, and a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
