State DAR Urges Boost In Drink Age Rochester W) The New York State Daughters of the American Revolution conclude their three-day convention today after having recommended that legislation be passed raising the state's legal minimum drinking age from 18 to 21 and providing for strict enforcement of such a law. The organization yesterday opposed the construction of a Port of New York Authority jet air- port in the Pine Island area in Orange County and urged that a DAR-written pamphlet, "Study Course on Communism," be distributed in state schools.

Using Pine Island's "rich soil" area for a jet airport would halt use of the section's many natural resources, the state DAR said. The organization yesterday chose Mrs. Lyle J. Howland of Rome as regent. Among other officers elected were Mrs.
