xt 12 BINGHAMTON PRESS Aug. 27, 1951 Miss Phyllis Lannon, Mary Louise White Honored at Shower Miss Mary Jane Sloan Honored by Friends At Saturday Night Bridal Shower in Hillcrest ISS MARGARET COLEMAN entertained at a pre-nuptial shower yesterday afternoon i Barbara Krissel, M. E. Schneider Exchange Vow MISS BARBARA JANE KRISSEL and Malven Eugene Schneider spoke their wedding vows at 3 p. m.

Aug. 19 in the First Christian Church, the Rev. Arthur A. Wright, pastor, officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Harry E. Krissel of Butternut Hills, Binghamton, and Mr. Schneider is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Harry M. Schneider of 48 Mozart Street. Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride was gowned in white satin made with a bertha of Chantilly lace. The bouffant skirt terminated in a cathedral train. Orange blossoms held her fingertip veil.

She carried a colonial bouquet of white gladioli and roses. Mrs. Paul Parce, sister of the for Miss Phyllis Lannon and Miss Mary Louise White, whose weddings are planned for September. The shower was held at the Coleman home, 67Vi Lincoln Avenue. Approximately 35 guests attended.

Miss Lannon, who resides in 38 Walnut Street, will be wed to William A. Canny at 10 a. m. Sept. 8 in St.

Patrick's Church. Mr. Canny is the son of Mrs. William R. Canny of 19 Ayres Street and the late Mr.

Canny. wedding of Miss While and Thomas D. McDonald, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A.

McDonald of 8 Lincoln Avenue, Is planned for Sept. 29 in St. Patrick's Church. Miss White is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

James J. White of 9 Lincoln Avenue. Miscellaneous gifts and gifts for the honored guests' future kitchens were presented from clothes baskets decorated in pastel colors. Refreshments were served buffet style from a table centered with an arrangement of asters and pompons flanked by pastel tapers. Mrs. Charles M. Cook of 18 Beacon Street, Hillcrest, who will be bridesmaid for the guest of honor, and Mrs. Richard Holmwood of 4 Hinds Street, Hillcrest, gave the party at the latter's home. Miss Sloan is the daughter of Dr.

and Mrs. Frederick E. Sloan of 1070 Chenango Street, Hillcrest. She is betrothed to Emil John'Koc), son of Mrs. Margaret Koop of Wantagh, L.

and the late E. Koop. The couple's wedding will be performed at 4 p. m. Oct.

12 in the Ogden Hillcrest Methodist Church. A reception will be held in the church parlors after the ceremony. Miss Sloan, a graduate of Emerson College and Boston University, is a speech and hearing clinician for the Connecticut State Department of Health. Her fiance, a veteran of service with the army, is self-employed in the program and publishing field in New York City. Mrs.

Sydney Durrant of New York City will be matron of honor for Miss Sloan. Mrs. John Houlihan of Torrington, and Mrs. Cook will be bridesmaids. Variety bridal gifts were presented to the guest of honor from a white painted wheelbarrow.

Miss Sloan also received a corsage of gardenias from her hostesses. Guests played canasta after the gifts were opened. Refreshments were served from a table decorated with vari-colored gladioli. MRS. HARRY L.

DUNN of Owego and Miss Jeanette Garrison cf 117 West Street, Johnson City, entertained Saturday night at Mrs. Dunn's home at a shower honoring bride-elect Miss Bette Ruth June. The honored guest is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul C.

June of 408 Harry L. Drive, Johnson City. She will be married Sept. 29 in St. Patrick's Church, Owego, to William J.

of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund J. Fahl of Owego. Shower gifts were presented from a cart drawn by 3-year-old James Dunn, son of the hostess.

Guests were Mrs. June, Mrs. Fahl, Mrs. Richard McKay, Mrs. G.

William Portz, Mrs. Leonard Aylesworth, Mrs. Robert June, Mrs. Robert Nusom, Mrs. Nelson Dickey, Miss Lucille Woodmansee, Mrs.

Miss Audrey Schneider, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Phyllis Allen, were bridesmaids. Miss Sylvia Mae Krissel, sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid, and Joyce Marie and Carol Ann Krissel, also sisters of the bride, were flower girls. They were gowned similarly to the matron of honor, the bridesmaids in ice-blue and yellow and the junior bridesmaid and flower girls in yellow. Charles Schneider, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Carlton Schneider, brother of the bridegroom, Robert Krissel, brother of the bride, and Arthur Gordon were ushers.

yesterday in the First Baptist Church, Walton, Miss E. Fay Tripp and John R. Frey exchanged wedding vows. The Rev. Floyd Northrop, cousin of the bride, officiated, and the Rev.

Richard Benoit, pastor of the church, assisted. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Tripp of Walton. Mr.

Frey is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Frey of 6 Ronan Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a gown of white Chantilly lace and satin styled with a train. Her fingertip nylon net veil was attached to a headdress of simulated orange blossoms. She carried white orchids and calla lilies.

Miss Maureen Tripp, sister of the bride, was maid of honor in a blue nylon net gown. She wore a matching picture hat and carried white gladioli. Bridesmaids were Mrs, Robert Tickard of Oneonta, Miss Mildred Frey of Binghamton, Miss Rarbara Nelson of Albany, Miss Doris Patterson of Latham, Miss Beth Lou Nelson of Albany and Miss Eleanor Biedckapp of Walton. They were gowned in pink nylon net and wore matching picture hats. They carried white gladioli, Five-year-old Janice Northrop, cousin of the bride, was flower girl in a white satin dress and carried a basket of rose petals.

Bryan Terry Faulkner, also a cousin of the bride, was ring bearer. George Reid Koppler of Binghamton was best man. Ushering were Ralph Frey, and MUSICAL INSTRUMENT CO. 94 Chenango, Binghamton, N. Y.
